A:  Hi RoyalDBDIY, I'm unable to find any documentation that's posted online by DeWalt and have contacted their engineers for assistance. I'll post the answer when they respond with the correct size for the set screw wrench. I suspect it may be something in the area of a T10. The case number I have open with them is 1871108.

A:  Hi RoyalDBDIY, DeWalt responded with the following information: 'The tech team replied, and stated the hex wrench is a 1/4 inch'. Obviously this is not correct, so I questioned them further and this is what their final response was: 'Thank you for contacting us. No, we don't have any documentation for this model. They stated it looked that size, but we don't have a way to guarantee it, unfortunately.'. I tried to get an accurate answer for you. Unfortunately, I don't have the particular DeWalt driver set so I cannot say for sure what the wrench size is. I have a Kobalt set like this and the wrench is a T10.

A:  Kit DW2730 has only #6 (3/32 ) and #8 (7/64 ), NOT #10 (1/8 ). it does come with an extra #8 drill bit.

A:  No. And you probably wouldn’t want to try drilling such a precise hole with impact on. ;) This only works chucked up in a drill.

A:  The previous model did. Guess dewalt figures most people can't control an impact gun. This will be going back.

A:  No, it will not work on an impact driver that has the sleeve that you pull forward and slide the bit into. You need the chuck that you can put different size bits into and twist to tighten. The shank is considerably bigger than an impact bit.
