Q:The tool worked well for a few days but now is stuck and I can’t remove it to flip between drill and driver. I have attempted to use pliers to gently remove but it still won’t come out. The bit still slides but is stuck somehow. It’s possible the set screw worked loose while driving and is preventing the bit from being removed. Is this a common problem and what would you recommend for removal so I can use the unit as intended? I can send back if necessary. I’ve only had it for a few weeks and it replaced another similar drill/driver that worked well for many years.

A:  The set screws need to be well-tightened or this can occur. There are two set screws for the drill bit (and one more for the drill bit receiver) so make sure they're all nice and snug. I've secured a stuck unit to a bench vise and then used a combination of flat-head screw driver (as pry bar ;) and pliers to wriggle the reluctant flip-tip out of the base. If you're still in warranty, I'm sure they'll replace it... but I'm usually too impatient to wait that long!

    A:  Yes it is compatible with the drill. It will not work with the impact gun unless you have an attachment but work perfectly in the drill.
