A:  Liquid dish detergent placed in the dispenser holder.

A:  Yes, it's actually made for dish detergent so you can dispense it right into the sink. We fill ours with Dawn liquid dish detergent.

A:  Yes I think that it would work for dish detergent. I put hand soap in mine but I thought seriously about using dish detergent instead

A:  The spout may be clogged soak it in hot/warm water then try pumping warm water from a glass to clear it out.

A:  Hi WI127! Thank you for your question! I will be happy to help. The 8" widespread faucets are intended for sinks and countertops with 3 predrilled holes that are 8" apart. The faucet body and handles are all separate pieces. Best Regards, Tim

A:  This will fit either a 3 hole sink that the outside holes are 8 inches apart or a single hole sink. That wide plate at the base is not needed with a single hole sink.

A:  You can do either. I prefer to lift out the pumper and pour in from above while doing my best to not overfill. But you could just as easily unscrew the bottle from below to refill. I’m 5’10” so leaning over is easier for me than crawling under the sink. Do whatever is easiest for you.

A:  It fills from the top unless you want to crawl underneath the sink to remove the soap vessel.

A:  From the top and use a funnel. :)

A:  Yes, it sounds like an installation problem. I would call the plumber back and tell them to fix it. If you got the plumber through your local Home Depot professional services contact them too The Home Depot will stand behind you. The fix could be as simple as the cartridge valve is loose since you see water up high near the handle and then it runs down the pipe. If the plumber determines the faucet is defective then The Home Depot will give you an exchange one.
