This will provide the option of hotter water, also, we recommend making sure the water heater temperature is set to 120 or lower. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=By5b7uazCqM Also, we would recommend soaking the shower head in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water, this will help break up any debris causing the mode selector to not work properly. However, if the existing valve was installed prior to 2006 you must use the RP19804 cartridge and not the new RP46074 cartridge included with the trim kit. Please reach out with further questions! The Delta Faucet model 144770-SP Monitor(R) 14 Series Tub And Shower In Spotshield Brushed Nickel diverter is integrated into the tub spout and therefore can only be used if the tub spout is used. The tub spout can be not installed and the Delta Faucet model R11000 3- And 6-Setting Diverter Rough and your choice of 3 or 6 setting Delta Faucet diverter trim can be used to divert to your choice of Delta Faucet hand shower.
