Q:Is 34 inches long enough to ensure that water isn't splashing out on the open side? That's my only concern with this style.
    by|Feb 9, 2023

    Answer This Question

A:  This all depends on things such as how your shower head is angled, your water pressure, the way the person using the shower is showering, etc. If you keep the water overhead, you will typically have a better experience with less splash and this is why we see many customers elect to get an overhead rainfall style showerhead when using this type of shower door. This style is an open-concept, modern-European style, so you definitely will need to be mindful of any factors that could lead to excessive water splashing outside of the shower. f you have any other questions, we invite you to contact our DreamLine PreSales Consultants at 866-282-8413. Q:Does water get into the bottom channel? How do you clean it and avoid mold?
      by|Aug 29, 2022

      Answer This Question

A:  Water should definitely not even get into the bottom channel. To properly install the glass panel into the bottom u-channel, you must first run a bead of silicone inside the channel. Then, you will install the glass into the channel basically squishing the wet silicone inside the channel and around the glass. When the silicone cures, it will basically act like waterproof cement and nothing should get down into the channel at all. You will also seal the joint where the u-channel meets the threshold with a bead of silicone so that water cannot get under the channel and leak out onto your floor. Q:Are both surfaces treated with clear Max coating?
        by|Aug 19, 2022
        1 Answer
        Answer This Question

A:  The ClearMax coating will only be on one side of the glass and this side of the glass will be marked with a removable blue decal that says "ClearMax" on it. Please make sure your installer installs the glass so that the side with the ClearMax sticker is facing inside the shower. Q:I currently have a framed shower door and would love to get a semi frameless, but then I would have holes in tile where old frame was, correct?
          by|Mar 4, 2021

          Answer This Question

A:  Not necessarily. The frameless shower glass comes with a metal frame that would probably cover up the existing holes.

          by|Mar 5, 2021

A:  Without knowing how your door was installed, it is difficult to say. You may definitely have holes in your tile, so we would recommended something with framing to cover those holes, or replace the tile. We invite you to contact our DreamLine PreSales Consultants at 866-282-8413 to discuss this further. We can also be reached by sending an email to support@dreamline.com. Q:Does this panel come in a wider width than 34"; we are fine w/ the height being 72", but are concerned that the panel when installed at 34" will not be adequate to keep water inside the shower compartment. Our shower compartment is 7'W x9'H; thus, 40-48" widths would better serve our purposes.

A:  I would recommend finding something closer to the 48", might have to rely on a custom glass shop.

A:  I'm an experienced home renovator. After about a year after installing this product in one of my rentals, it exploded in the middle of the night. My tenant was so startled, she ran outside thinking a car had crashed into something! So, sad to say I can't recommend this product.

Q:Has anyone used this with a 48 inch shower base? Is the 14in open to enter the shower enough or does it feel too cramped

                  Answer This Question

A:  You might find 14 inches to be a little tight, depending on the sizes of the individuals using the shower. My opening is 22 inches and works well for me. I am six feet and 210 pounds. I really enjoy not having latches, hinges, and a curtain.

                  by|Mar 25, 2020

A:  With a 48" shower base, you will most likely end up with a 46-1/2" finished opening. Using a 34" Linea panel will leave you with an opening of 12-1/2". We do not recommend use of this shower panel with a 48" base. If you have any other questions, please contact a DreamLine PreSales Consultant at 866-282-8413. A:  Not me, my shower is 54 inches. i would think that 14 inches would be too tight. If youre a tiny person, maybe, but average person, too tight, Just my opinion. You might check with local glass company and get one 28 inch or 30 inch that may not be too costly.

A:  We have had this installed for several years now and it has worked great. There is plenty of room for me to walk straight into the shower enclosure. It is nice not needing the swing or sliding door which is harder to maintain and keep clean. Highly recommended! A very small amount of water does get outside the shower but this is not a problem for us since we have tile floors. If you have wood or carpet in your bathroom this could cause some problems in the long term.

A:  in my experience a 14 inch entry opening would be too small.
