A: The Dremel 220-01 Workstation is tested and recommended to be used with Dremel Rotary Tools only. For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-4-DREMEL (1-800-437-3635), Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P CST.
A: It is threaded to screw onto the Dremel. You I unscrew the plastic shield. Probably not.
A: Yes, it will absolutely work with the Wen 2305. It uses the same thread size under the plastic cap. Don't believe the mooks from 'the Dremel Team', they have to say that because they work for Dremel. It will fit the Wen and also will fit the B&D tool.
A: The workstation is designed to be used with certain models of Dremel tools . Unless a Wen 2305 is close or identical to a particular Dremel model listed for use with the workstation it is not a good idea to try to use a brand that is not a Dremel. For a list of the models the workstation will work with contact Dremel. In addition the box the workstation is packed in lists model numbers.
A: The Dremel work station is only recommended for use with certain models of dremel rotary tools and is sold as a dremel only accessory. The rotary tool has to be attached to the workstation in a specific way to insure safe and accurate use. Trying to adapt another make is not recommended nor would it be safe. Since there is a wide variety of Dremel rotary tools that will work with the workstation users should consider purchasing the workstation with a dremel rotary tool that suits their need. Note: the workstation is made to work with corded (non battery) dremel rotary tools and not all models will work
A: Thank you for the responses, I guess I'll just go without, because I cannot afford a new rotary tool and this.
A: Per HD site - Fits tool models 4000, 3000, 8200, 8100, 8000, 200, 100 and more, so I believe that it should. These should be series numbers.
A: Yes it works with the 4300 that's what I have
A: Yes, specifically mentioned compatibility in the description on Dremel's website.
A: The Dremel 220-01 Workstation is compatible with the Dremel 4300 Rotary Tool. For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-4-DREMEL (1-800-437-3635), Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P CST.
A: Yes the Dremel rotary tool 4300 is the last tool to date to be used with the Dremel Work Station. The RPM of this tool ranges from 5,000 rpm to 35,000 rpm. which is compatible with the Work Station. Good Luck
A: no the drill stand is for use with larger dremel tools more information can be found on the dremel web site in the manual for the stand
A: No
A: The Dremel 220-01 WorkStation is not compatible with the Dremel 8050 Micro. There is not adapter that can be used for this tool to work on this attachment. For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-4-DREMEL (1-800-437-3635), Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P CST.
A: No. The workstation is made to be used with corded Dremel Rotary tools - models are listed on the box or on the Dremel website
A: There is no indication in the manual for the model 220 dremel workstation that it will work with a micro. The micro dremmel is designed to be hand held like a pencil. Trying to jerry rig it to work with the workstation is not advisable. The model 220 workstation states it works with these models of dremel 220, 275,285,295,300,395,398,400,780,800 A review on the internet states it works with models 100, 200,275.285,300,395,398,400,800,3000,4000,4200,8100,8200,8220 Since models and designs change its best to contact the manufacturer for the latest specifications and accessories
A: Model 720 does not appear in the Model 220 workstation manual as a rotary tool that is compatible with the workstation. It is unsafe to try to use a tool with an incompatible accessory
A: I couldn't find a 720 other than the flexshaft adapter. If your Dremel doesn't have a plastic threaded collar below the rotating metal collet then there is no way to attach it to the drill press.
A: For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-437-3635, Monday - Friday, 8A-5P CST.
A: THis workstation is really nice. Easy to work with , set up and very friendly. However when you use the dremel tool for drilling on metal it tends to ocilate and rattle just a bit. The cup and the machanism that holds the cup are made out of plastic which has a "give" of about 1 to a 1-1/4 mm movement. So if you are doing metal drilling use one of your hands to hold the cup for a smooth down drilling. You can also use this slight "give" to your advantage on doing little corrections on very small areas. So, after all its how you will use it, but it does a great job.
A: The Workstation Operation manual and safety instructions available on the dremel website at www.dremel.com does NOT show a 720 as a tool that fits the station the following models are listed for use with this workstation : 100 200 275 285 300 395 398 400 800 3000 4000 8100 8200 8220 4200 4300 \ contact dremel at 1 800 437 3635
A: The Dremel 220-01 Workstation is not compatible with the Dremel Trio. For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-4-DREMEL (1-800-437-3635), Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P CST.
A: No . The workstation is for various models of rotary tools with much smaller bodies. The best way to look for accessories for the trio is to go to the Dremel tool site on the internet and also look at the descriptions of the trio tool . Accessories are usually listed with the complete specs and in the tool manual.
A: The Dremel Trio is an entirely different product and will not work with the workstation which is made to work only with certain models of dremel rotary tools. A list of compatible models that will work with the workstation can be found in the workstation manual on the dremel web site
A: The description for the 4300 states it will work will all Dremel accessories. The description for the Rotary Tool Workstation states it works with the 4000 . the 4300 looks like an enhanced version of the 4000. I would suggest contacting Dremel directly via phone or email but I see no reason why it should not work. The packaging may state all of the models it works with but then again it may not. You can visit a home depot store and examine the various Dremel models to compare the 4000 beside a 4300
A: I believe if the part that screws in over the bit and if the threads are clear it should fit into the drill press.
A: The Dremel 220-01 Workstation is compatible with the Dremel 4300. For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-4-DREMEL (1-800-437-3635), Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P CST.
A: Yes, specifically mentioned as being compatible in the description on Dremel's website.
A: Maybe 4 lbs.? Base and main shaft are metal. It's fairly portable.
A: This is not a heavyweight drill stand but it is very usefull. To keep it stable its best to mount to to a base of some sort and clamp it down. No weight is given in the specifications - just height, width statistics. The base is made of a cast aluminum so it is not heavy like cast iron. It is made for light weight use, jewelry making using the dremel rotary tools and small bits/drills.
A: The Dremel 220-01 Workstation weighs 4.75lbs. For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-4-DREMEL (1-800-437-3635), Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P CST.
A: It has a weight of 26.2 pounds.
A: No weight specs are listed in the description but it does not weigh very much. The base is cast aluminum. For stability it is best to mound to a base and to clamp everything to a workbench, worktable etc . This is made for small drill bits and light craft/jewelry work
A: No- suggest investing in a solid ,stable, accurate drill press and using the proper drill bits and jigs. Some woodworking magazines have articles on making jigs and you may also find plans for cribbage boards- check out Rockler, Woodcraft and a few others
A: No . You need to do continuous hole drilling evenly spaced. There are companies such as Rockler and Woodcraft that sell bits and plans for making cribbage boards. A small bench top drill press that is set up with a good fence and depth stop would work best for this use
A: Yes , it’s great for drilling holes and adding finishing touches. If you have YouTube go to the dremal site, it will give you some ideals on using the station.
A: The Dremel 220-01 Workstation is designed for drilling and works as a tool holder. For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-4-DREMEL (1-800-437-3635), Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P CST.
A: I do a lot of prototyping. I would really suggest you get a small benchtop drill press instead. You can find them for less than $100. They will be much more durable and precise. This thing slips position during use. I tried it for a couple weeks. It will be hard to keep the drilled holes aligned.
A: We recommend securing the base with 5/16" screws or bolts. For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-4-DREMEL (1-800-437-3635), Monday - Friday, 8A - 5P CST.
A: I used 1/4"-20 bolts to fasten rubber feet to the base. You won't need anything larger (or even this large), especially since this workstation is too flimsy to handle large work. The bracket the Dremel motor tool fastens to is made of cheap plastic that flexes too easily to allow much more than really, really light work, such as drilling tiny holes (1/32" or smaller) for small jewelry. It's so bad, I tossed the entire head assembly, kept only the base and upright mast, and replaced the head assembly with one from another brand that had a better head but a crappy base. If you haven't bought this workstation yet, I recommend looking for something else.
A: i do not have the manual to check but you can use lag bolts/screws to attach the base to a board that should be as wide as the base and thick enough to take the lag screw. by using a long board and mounting the base in the middle you can clamp the workstation to a bench or table. the workstation is very well made and makes the dremel very versatile
A: It is a 3/4" hole. I glued a washer on top of it because I was drilling small pieces.
A: 5/16 inch or 8 mm.
A: It does not have a light. Its a good idea to have a task light so you can locate drills or cutting and sanding accessories on the workpiece . Companies such as Woodcraft, Rockler and others sell lights to use with bandsaws or drill presses. You can also use a good headlamp to help you light the area you are working on.
A: No. Any light would be on the tool itself, depending on which model Dremel you use.
A: No this workstation does not have a light however it is useful to have a head lamp so that you can help align drills and tools to the worksurface. It is important to have good lighting when ever using any cutting or drilling tools. You can purchase various types of lights and lamps from a number of wood working tool suppliers such as Rockler and Woodcraft
A: No, you would have to add your own.
A: No. However you can hang an external light source (although it does not require since it's mainly a drill. Mine without.
A: No it does not
A: No, there is no light.
A: nope
A: The Dremel 220-01 WorkStation does not include a light. For further assistance, please contact us at 1-800-4-DREMEL (1-800-437-3635), Monday-Friday, 8A-5P CST.
A: No it does not come with a light.
