A:  Yes, you can put them side-by-side but you would need some kind of bracket or wire to hook them together so that they stayed in alignment. They don't come with a mechanism to directly connect them.

A:  Idon't know I bought two but I put them in different areas. looking at them both sides are smooth so i think they could be put to together
