A: Hi William! The PPT-2620 will not take attachments due to it being a dedicated power pruner.

Answer This Question
A: Some Electric Pole Saws rotate down to put the chain on top of the branch for easier cuts . Most, if not all Gas Powered Pole Saws because of there power and weight can Easily cut from a slight angle .

A: Not sure what you mean but cutting unit rotate? It's a chain saw on a pole and it does what a chain saw is supposed to do. Expensive but worth-it!

Q:Is there an add-on front handle I can purchase?
Will Echo part # P021012390 work?

Answer This Question
A: Maybe I should clarify the question.
I'm NOT looking to replace the existing throtitle handle. There is no front handle that comes standard on this pole saw.
I am looking to add a FRONT handle similar to the part number I posted earlier. A multi grip handle that clamps to the pole. This way my front hand does not have to only hold onto the pole, i could have the option to change my hand grip to different positions to help avoid fatigue.
Is an add-on front handle possible?

A: Hi! Thank you for your inquiry. The only handle that should be used on the ECHO Power Pruner models is the one that comes standard on it. The part number, P021012390, is a handle that is only used on some of the ECHO trimmer models.

Q:Can the pole saw be used to reach in towards hedges to cut branches close to the ground for removal? This would require the flat side of the bar to be rotated parallel to the ground but not touching the ground.

A: Hi Carl! The ECHO Power Pruners are designed to cut branches overhead to 12 feet or more without needing a ladder. ECHO would not recommend the use of a Power Pruner near the ground.

A: Sure, but it’s rather heavy for that application. Maybe a bit cumbersome. This tool is basically a 12” chain saw on a long pole with the controls on the opposite end of the pole.

A: Hi Cindy! Thank you for your inquiry. The ECHO Power Pruners can effectively cut up to 1-3/4 the length of the bar being used on that unit. That would be the maximum diameter the Power Pruner can cut.

A: TOO MUCH! You would think the engine being on the bottom and the chain being on the top end, the balance would be good, but it isn't. It is far too unweildy to be useful.
