Answer This Question

A:  Mulch colorants are water-based coatings made with pigments, man-made additives, and polymers that are commonly used by many other industries. For example, the pigments are used in cosmetics and many of the additives are used in personal care products. The colorants are non-toxic and will not cause harm to your plants.

A:  Our mulches are certified by the Mulch and Soil Council which guarantees that the mulch does not contain recycled lumber that has been treated with Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA). Wood used in the mulch can include (but is not limited to): pine, fir, cedar, cypress, etc. specific wood used varies depending on what is available. Peanuts do not grow on trees (they grow underground like potatoes) so there should not be any peanut or peanut residue in our mulches. However it could be bagged using the same machinery that bags our soils which contain compost, possibility of peanut residue in compost.

A:  Although I have never weighed a bag, I would estimate them to be between 25 to 30 pounds each.

A:  Well, these bags are sold by volume, not weight, so this is a practical guess. I'd say 25 lbs. each - if they haven't gotten wet. Much more if wet. Hope this helps.
