A:  yes it is white, but, the finish is not like paint, its like plastic.... I was just looking at mine the other day and wondering if we should have painted it with ceiling white.

A:  I would not recommend it.

A:  The material can be cut. Depending what you are trying to accomplish by cutting it, it might be difficult to make it look perfect if you are trying to align it back together.

A:  Yes. Use a new Stanley knife, then duct tape the back side to close the seam. Apply a very light touch of- off white acrylic caulk with finger or a 1/4 inch touch up brush. Use a small bit of water to thin if necessary.

A:  no, I don't think you would get a good result

A:  Depending on the reason for the cut, in general it is not recommended that the medallion be cut. If the intent is to just enlarge the center hole, and the canopy will cover the cut, then cutting would be fine. If the intent is to cut in half to then reassemble around an existing canopy then the answer is no cutting as it will not reassemble well. , If you need to cut for any reason you may wish to consider our urethane products such as the Maria medallion with similar dimensions and is Model # CM09MA2-03500, If you have further questions contact Home Depot customer service 1-800-HOME-DEPOT (466-3337) and ask to speak to the Ekena manufacturer.

A:  The 10" ceiling medallion has a 10" outside diameter, a 3 1/2" inside diameter, and a 1 1/8" projection.

A:  The center hole is 3.1/2" Diameter. The flat section in the center is about 5-3/8". Cool product and looks great installed
