A: Yeah, but you'll have better luck if you add a 30� chamfer tot he end of it & reduce the diameter to around 0.245 first. Plenty of cutting fluid.

A: It is true. I bought 3/8 x 36 aluminum rod, the diameter should be 0.375 inch, but actually it is 0.393.
