Q:does this rod have anything like a bolt or a metal stop on one end? I have a rod I bought at HD and used it to create a rounded under sink curtain holder, but one end had a cap. These don’t show the ends.

A: Yes I was able to bend it by placing it on a table and applying body weight on the part sticking off the table. It's as sturdy as you would expect from a 1/4" aluminium rod.

A: Yes. The rod is rigid, but if you are careful to bend it a little at a time, it will bend. Use of a vise or bending jig would be a help. If maintaining a smooth finish is critical, cover the rod with a rag before placing it in the vise or jig to protect the surface. Good luck with your project.

A: You can cut aluminum with a mitre saw or band saw, with blade appropriate for cutting metal. Make sure bar is secure and that googles and gloves are worn. The edges can also be sanded smooth once cut.

A: Hack saw will cut right through it no problem. Band saw will work great also.
