A:  Hello Jamie, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we would not recommend using the Floortex Ultimat on Berber carpets as these mats are tightly woven, meaning that the grippers on the mat will not penetrate the carpet pile and therefore the mat would sit on top of the carpet and could potentially break. We would however recommend using our anti-slip Unomat. The Unomat is ideal for very low pile carpets and carpet tiles where grippers cannot penetrate the surface. Alternatively, we have our Megamat, which is 0.2 inches thick and can be used on all types of carpets and hard floors. This mat ships flat however, Polycarbonate is a rigid material which when rolled (as the larger sizes are) will go back to its original flat state instantly, unlike traditional vinyl mats which can take up to 72 hours to lie flat. A:  Hello, Thank you for your question. This really depends on the type of rug you have. A rugs fibres tend to be more dispersed than carpet and we therefore usually recommend having a anti-slip mat with no grippers as with some rugs the grippers will not be able to grip the fibres. If you have a rug with similar fibres to carpet though this mat would be suitable for you.
