Q:I have an old house and the towel bar is actually IN the shower. Will the spring mounts rust out in a couple of years and or will the rust run down the wall? I am looking for a reasonable fix that doesn't involve tile work. Thanks!

A: They are plastic; no problems with rusting.

A: It is all plastic, so I don't think rusting is a problem. Just remember, it is not very strong and should someone lean on the towel bar, you will most likely be replacing it again.
