Q:How is water/moisture able to go out the exhaust hose when the window is HIGHER then the exhaust connection ?

Answer This Question
A: Short answer: The exiting warm air evaporates the water.
Longer answer: The unit has a reservoir that catches condensation/water/moisture. I live in California where the air is fairly dry, and in dry enough climates, the warm exhaust air takes the water with it, through evaporation. In wet climates, you will need to occasionally empty/drain the reservoir that collects the condensation.
Note that this answer comes from my general knowledge and my experience to date, not from certainty about the design and engineering. Said more simply, this is an educated guess. :-)

A: Not long at all (I guess it might depend on your square footage though). We bought this unit last summer and have loved it!
by|May 5, 2023
A: It depends on how big your space is. The unit needs time to pull all the hot air out and replace it with cool air. Our bedroom is a little over 600 sq ft and it took about an hour to cool it and 2.5 hours to get it where we wanted it.

Answer This Question
A: Hi, David. There is no way that we can measure moisture your appliance will remove from the air when in dry mode, because it really depends on the humidity level in your area. It is capable of removing 3.1 pt. of moisture from the air per hour to control humidity. ~ Brandi
