Q:How loud is this unit when the compressor kicks on or off? I'm currently running a 5 y.o. LG that bangs like a bomb when the compressor engages.

Answer This Question
A: A bit hit-or-miss on the noise when it engages. There are times where it is a pretty loud bang, and other times that it's not so loud. There have been times that it has woken me up and other times where I didn't even hear it.

A: You can either use a drain hose or if not using a hose the model will display a “P1” code when the bottom tray is full and needs to be drained.

A: The unit does not need a drain hose, it's an option. I run my unit from may till November and if anything I think I might have got an ounce of water out of it. I believe the the heat from condenser evaporates the water I never have to empty it, I usually check it at end of season.

A: Hello, Gerald.
Thank you for reaching out.
During the dehumidifying mode, you will need a garden hose (sold separately) to drain the condensate from the unit. The hose may then discharge into a drain that is lower than the unit or be connected to a condensate pump (sold separately). Please remember during the cooling mode, replace the rubber stopper to the hose connector to reach maximum performance.
I hope this helps.

A: Hi, Linkcu82.
Thanks for your post.
We are unable to give an exact time due to we are not aware of your environmental factors.
Some friendly tips to keep in mind to get the best cooling performance for your home comfort appliance. *Ensure the capacity of the room air conditioner fits your room size for efficient and satisfactory operation. * Try installing the room air conditioner on the shady side of your home/room. A window that faces north is best because it is shaded most of the day. * External house shading with trees, plants or awnings will help reduce the air conditioner’s workload.
Hope this helps.

Q:I am looking for an AC that can be used in internal rooms (no windows) in an office building. In reading the responses, it appears there is a reservoir that collects water as well as a hose for window output of collected moisture, is this correct? And, if so, what is the capacity of the reservoir and does it stop running when full?

A: Hi Lynnea! Thank you for your inquiry. The air conditioner would need to be vented and exhausted out the window. We were unable to locate the exact size of the reservoir. When the bottom tray is full, you will receive a “P1” message on your display. Which will alert you to drain the tray. You would carefully move the air conditioner to a drain location, remove the bottom drain plug and let the water drain away. We hope this helps! -Thanks!-

A: You need to be able to exhaust the hot air or it will defeat the purpose. Drainage will also be an issue.
