A: There are other kits that are 22" and would cover better or the 4'x8' sheets with reflective side to cut to size needed.

A: Buy the 4'x8' laminated fiberglass sheets (2"), the ones used on a/c ducks, and slice them in half. About $50 each and will take 2 sheets for 8' wide door. That will give you the 24" you need. And they are R6 and fire resistant.

A: This kit is only intended for installation in a hollow back/uninsulated steel door. The panels tuck into the rails. Do no use this kit for a flush or flat back garage door. Thank you

A: Hi D,
This would depend on the materials the doors are made of(wood, aluminum or vinyl). You will need to get an adhesive made for styrofoam and the door material you are dealing with. I believe HD has a product specifically for gluing foam insulation panels to interior walls during construction. Good luck.

Answer This Question
A: It may slightly, however, it is rigid insulation and that typically does not reduce noise. I got a quieter garage door opener and that helped my situation.
