A: The only thing , based on my tester, is open ground. You already know that.
by|Aug 12, 2020
A: It will work, but give the indication of "NO" ground connection.
by|Sep 22, 2020

I would get the manufacturers phone number off the package
and call them for specifics.

Answer This Question
A: You would want an AFCI tester for arc fault.
by|May 3, 2023
A: There are many testers that specifically test arc fault outlets. Simply search for Arc Fault Testers and a few different options will pop up for you. Currently Gardner Bender and Sperry Instruments does not offer that type of tester.
A: Good question. I recall there are circuit breakers sold with this feature but I haven't run across a tester for it.

A: Look at the user manual provided in the box.

A: This usually means that there is a bad connection somewhere in the circuit you are testing. Check to make sure that all appliances have been disconnected and test again.

A: There is a guide on the front of the item and in the included manual. If I recall correctly, all 3 lights on indicated a good circuit.

A: HIGHLY improbable reading. Possible bad tester. Get another tester.
by|Sep 22, 2020
A: I don't think that should happen. If you are looking at it from an angle one of the LEDs might be bleeding into another. Try looking at it straight on.
