The Gardner Bender GFCI Outlet Tester was ergonomically designed for today's electrical professional. This unit plugs into any standard 120-Volt outlet and indicates the wiring condition of the outlet. The GFI-3501 also has the ability to test any outlet protected by a ground fault receptacle to ensure proper interruption operation. With charts on both sides of the unit, any user can quickly identify which of the six wiring conditions is indicated by the integrated neon lamps. Test any GFCI outlet, standard outlet, or extension cord.

No UL logo found. It is Intertek 3080912 listed.

Will this also trip a breaker at the main panel... If not, is there such a tool ??

This unit will trip the GFI breaker in the main panel but NOT the main 15 Amp circuit breaker.

1 clam is what you see it in on the shelf, but when it's shipped it would come 5 to a box or 5 clams to a master.

This tester works, but you need one from a different manufacturer if you want the correct diagnosis. The chart indicating which lights relate to which problem is wrong. Look at any of the other brands aad you will see the problem. The one I have is just like the one pictured here. Maybe one should consider another brand. Note that four of the six light patterns are the same. DUH!

The chart on the tester is similar to the chart typically seen on a majority of other standard outlet testers. If you are looking at the tester from an angle one of the LEDs might be bleeding into another, causing an incorrect interpretation of the test. Make sure to look at the tester straight on.
