A:  No painting needed it

A:  This mailbox does not require painting. It comes looking very shiny and black and is in great shape.

A:  It does fit but ends up wobbly. Side bottom screw holes (not bolts) on this mailbox do not line up with the plastic G mounting board. They sell Wood one at "L" but it's only 0.75in. thick and underneath mailbox is deeper so side screws miss wood. Use shim

A:  The mailbox and door and adjustable tab on the inside of the door are painted. During temp change or humidity door will stick and be hard to open and close. Mailbox okay for reasonable price. I may sand paint top of tab sand off box lip that meets tab.

A:  Thank you for your interest in our products. The Elite large mailbox do not have a slot on the front of the mailbox for numbers only on the sides of the mailbox. The Elite Medium has a slot in the front for numbers the measurements are 1.5'' X 4.5''.

A:  Yes, it should have come with it, send it back or exchange it at your local store

A:  No screws or other hardware. Just the box. I also might mention. Doesn't come with a base either. Any screw will do the job. I use #10 x 1 in. Slotted Hex Head Zinc Plated Sheet Metal Screws. Easy to install and somewhat weather resistant.

A:  Hi there. For the length (or depth) of the box, you'll notice that the the dimensions drawing shows two different measurements - one from the rear of the box to the end of the latch (22.57 inches) and the other from the rear to the outside of the door (21.42 inches). As to the width, these are the outside dimensions which also includes the outside of the flag casing (not shown quite accurately in the drawing) but you can see it below in the additional content. We are certainly not trying to mislead anyone on the size of the mailbox. Rather, we have found that homeowners find the maximum dimensions most helpful when planning for installation alongside other mailboxes on a mutli-box post or shelter. Hope that's helpful.
