A:  The 16 inch width refers to diameter of the basket, The chains from top of basket to top of hook is app. 24 inches and the basket is app. 6 inches deep

A:  The 26" measurement is the overall height of the product and the 16" length and width is the diameter.

A:  This basket is 16" wide. The chain is 26" tall with the hook included. The basket is 8" tall. So total height is about 34" with the chain and basket. We are sorry for the confusion on the dimensions listed.

A:  The measurement of 26" is from the bottom of basket to top of chain at hook. The basket is approximately 6" deep and the basket diameter is 26".

A:  This style is lovely but is likely not large enough. It’s depth is for a small plant only. Also, it rusted immediately, I suggest coating it first with spray paint Rustoleun

A:  the metal is coated with plastic. sorry. do not know what the space is. the diam is 12" so perhaps count the prongs.

A:  Yes you remove the clips from the basket rim and slid them off the chain link. Then cut the chain to the length you need then slide the clips back into the chain and clip it to the basket rim.

A:  I would think so, it is a very simple hook attached to three separate chains that form sort of a "tee pee" shape at the top.

A:  You can't make the chain longer unless you are able to purchase another chain and tie the ends of the links together. I wouldn't shorten the chain because, to me, it is the ideal length for the hanging basket.

A:  On my basket, the S hook is not open enough to slide off the chain. If you take a pair of plyers and open the bottom of the S hook, you could adjust the length of each chain.

A:  Yes! The coco liner (brown filler stuff) holds the soil and keeps the basket shape for your plants.

A:  Yes you do that. I use 2 liners so I can put water crystals between them they hold more water for droughts. This coco liner is to allow air to get to the roots helps keep from over watering.

A:  Yes. Per the instructions, you put your dirt and plant into the hanging basket and then water everything.

A:  Yes, the liner is coconut fiber and is porous and sturdy enough to keep the soil in but let the water seep out.
