    Q:What kind of oil is in the bowl? I wiped it up and then realized that it might be important for the seasoning process.

We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, we have taken actions and checked all reviews and happy to find that this has problem not been reported, but we will watch for this in the future. We apologize for the inconvenience. We suggest washing it thoroughly with soapy water to remove any residue, then letting it dry out completely before using.

        A:  Though I've not officially measured with a tape? Would say 3" max. Mine sits on dirt and still scorches it.So would not adise one to set on wood deck, or concrete patio. If scorching is a concern.

          Q:is the inside of the pit 30" and the lip extends past that so it could be used in a 31" fire pit as a liner and just remove the legs?

          A:  Hello! The lip does not extend past 30", so A 31" fire pit would not be able to accommodate the Hand Hammered Copper Fire Pit.

            A:  Hi; I purchased my fire pit about 4 years ago, so I am sorry I don't remember where is was manufactured. However, it has held up quite well and still looks great. Mine came with a cover that I keep on it in the winter months. It is very well made.
