Q:Can you use the cover while the fire is going? I have a 1 year old baby and I want to be able to have the cover on to keep him safe from falling into the fire or getting burned. Can you please confirm if cover is meant to keep on during use or only to use when there is not fire. Thanks!

Answer This Question
A: The spark guard cover is NOT designed to keep pets or humans from potential burns as the spark guard will be very hot to the touch.
The instruction manual clearly states: DO NOT allow small children neat flame. Hot embers can fly out of the fire tub in windy conditions. Adequate fire extinguishing material should be readily available. Some parts may container sharp edges. Wear protective gloves as necessary. Fire bowl and mesh screen will be hot when in use. Do not touch. Use mesh screen when fire bowl is in use.

A: Absolutely. It's heavy gauge. You'll just need something fire retardant to lift it on and off.

Q:As usual there are no consistent measurements! There are three measurements for height: 20", 19", 12"and finally 9"... I would assume the "overall height" to be 19"-20", so is the bowl depth 9" or 12" or none of the above?!!?

Answer This Question
A: The copper fire pit is not intended for direct cooking. It is meant to be used for enjoyment and warmth in your outdoor living spaces.

A: It is 100% copper; I have had mine for about two years now. The fire pit does not come with a grill, but I suppose if you were able to purchase one, I don't see why you couldn't cook over a wood fire in this fire pit..
I have only used mine to toast s'mores - and they turned out great.

A: I dont know whether it is 0.025" in thickness or not, but probably close to it. It is definitely not 0.25" in thickness, way way way thinner. At 0.25" thickness it would be immensely heavy

A: I find it hard to believe the last answer. Maybe they meant its .025" thick. There is no way they could be selling a 1/4" thick copper fire bowl for $221.
