Q:Can anyone tell me how to adjust the drawer so the drawer front is flush with the cabinet? Mine slopes outward.

Answer This Question

A:  Mine are flush with the outside. Just make sure the drawer is assembled correctly and the tracks are working properly. I had a little problem with the tracks until I figured out they were not installed right side up.

by|Sep 1, 2019

A:  Odds are you have installed the drawer in the track improperly. Make sure all rollers are inside the track. Failing that check your assembly again - the drawer front may have been installed incorrectly, or the drawer tracks are not properly adjusted.

A:  I believe it would rapidly rust. The hardware used to assemble it is not corrosion resistant. It is made to be used indoors.

A:  I’ve had four of these for over 9 years and they’ve been great. However, they’ve been in a garage nowhere near the ocean. The metal is not galvanized or stainless though they are painted well. As long as they’re covered and not being exposed to salt spray I would expect them to hold up well. I would spray any spot where a screw is with RustOleum as added insurance.

A:  I personally do not think this will hold up near the ocean. This is a steel cabinet. It is coated but not weatherproof. I would keep it indoors.

            by|Aug 6, 2019

A:  I honestly do not know the answer to that. We have it in our garage and we live on salt water and it is holding up great.... I would think if it is in the sun it may tarnish but in shade, it may do ok. I'm sure over time with the salt water it will become discolored... Hope this helps.

A:  I have two that are outdoors, under cover, but sometimes a blowing rain will hit them. No problem. But not near the ocean, so can't really speak to the effect of salt air. However I can't imagine anything better than this, even for salt air.

                  Answer This Question

A:  Not really. It is not designed for that. There are however wall units in this same product line which I'm sure would be a better solution.

                  by|Jul 17, 2019

A:  I suppose that it could be wall-mounted. And, of course, it would depend upon the type of wall to which it is attached. But whether or not it would function adequately there is another matter. With a sufficient number of fasteners the unit itself MIGHT be able to hold its own aloft without damage, Loading the unit might strain its structural elements which are pretty thin steel allowing it to sag. But as the saying goes, nothing ventured nothing gained. The steel is not

A:  The wall version of this cabinet attaches to a track that is purchased separately. I think this unit quite possibly can as well.

A:  Hello Zee, unfortunately another cabinet cannot be set on top due to on the back and the side. However, if your able to find another cabinet that is slightly smaller than 28" wide x 18" deep, it can sit inside the lip of the cabinet.

                                    by|May 20, 2019

A:  First, anything is possible if you have the willingness to make modifications to a brand new cabinet. There is a "lip" on the bottom of this drawer cabinet around the outside edge. That would preclude just setting it on the top of a lower cabinet. If someone, during the assembly of the upper cabinet, waited to tighten all of the perimeter screws until it was placed on top of the lower with the outside edge draping the lower cabinet...it might work. An upper cabinet of the same size width would set on the top of the lower cabinet, although, upper cabinets are generally 12" deep.

A:  Absolutely not. There’s a lip on three sides that extends past the top (barely visible in photos) that makes this impossible. Don’t even think about it!

A:  Yes I believe you could stack another one on top. I have one that is with a drawer and one without a drawer. I don’t have them stacked just sitting side by side but I think you could stack them.

A:  There is an upper cabinet without a drawer that can be mounted to the wall. I wouldn’t just stack the cabinets without securing it to the wall. That is not what they were designed to do.

My cabinet at its highest point is 33 inches from the garage floor - meaning even with the legs completely REMOVED, it would still be too tall to fit under a 29-inch bench.

                                                                                by|Jan 3, 2019

A:  The drawers are supported by metal arms with bearings. They are substantial within limits. They can handle about 20 lbs, but I would not go beyond that.

At this time I don’t have anything very heavy so I can’t tell you how long it will take before it fails, but over all it’s made well for the price. I’ve own other cabinets for many years and I only had one draw fail, but I had to much weight in it and my nephew opened it wrong and when he closed it it broke. I still use it, but I carefully open and close it. I don’t think it can be repaired.
