A:  You will have to remove the flourescent light fixture to see if there is just a “j box” that houses the wiring. There may not be one. Your wiring may simply come out of the ceiling and box light was attached to the ceiling. In this case you will have to attach a “j box” before installing the new light. 

A:  Hi there, thank you for your inquiry. This fixture will definitely work in the kitchen - it will need to be installed in the electrical box in the ceiling.

A:  A MUCH WARMER LIGHT , PUT ON A DIMMER SWITCH , YOU WILL NEVER MISS THAT RAW COLD LOOK THAT FLUORESENT GIVES YOU .

A:  It may not be as bright but it will look much better.

A:  these lights can be pushed back the other way and will then hang straight, the light we installed was very similiar. So i think they will work out for you.
