A:  As long as the switched plug or timer plug only turn power on or off then it can be used with the fan. Simply ensure that you have the knobs on the fan set to the desired settings. For example if you want the fan oscillate and run at speed 2, ensure the knobs are set correctly and when the plug is turned on the fan will begin to operate at those settings. If you wish to change the fan speed or toggle the oscillation you must do so with the knobs.

A:  Yes, the motor that powers the fan and the smaller motor that powers the oscillation are both enclosed under the damp-rated motor housing.

A:  Yes it is possible to use anchors but it is highly recommended that at least some of the screws from the bracket are affixed to a stud. Ensure the anchors that you do use are rated for at least 50 lbs, but a 100 lb anchor would be preferred.

A:  This model is designed to be hard wired to a standard UL listed ceiling outlet box that is rated "for fan support" and up to 35 lbs. The mounting bracket is 4.5" x 2.25" and the canopy that covers it has a 6.5 in. diameter.

A:  This model does not have a remote control. It has a manual knob for speed control and one for oscillation 

A:  No this model uses a wired wall control. However, you can contact customer service at 1-800-986-3460 to see if the manufacturer has compatible hand held remote kits available.

A:  The angle is not adjustable. It only oscillates left to right. 

A:  No. It’s a fixed angle, pointed downward 

A:  No, unless you bend the arm (but it's pretty sturdy so you might have to heat it up before attempting to bend it). I just positioned my fan a little higher and it works well that way (although I wish I could easily adjust it).

A:  Yes it will , adjustable.

A:  This fan is damp rated, meaning it can be installed outdoors and is moisture and temperature resistant, but it cannot be directly exposed to the elements. It must be covered from above. Wet rated fans can be installed outdoors with direct exposure to the elements.

A:  I would not install them directly in the elements. I had them installed on a covered porch in the corner where rain can get inside if there are heavy storms. They are built for indoor-outdoor however, having them installed in a covered area is what we were going for. Call The manufacturer to see what they suggest for that.
