A:  I purchased 5 of these fans and could not get them connected to my Wifi or Alexa.

A:  No, not compatible with Alexa because the app for Hunter Simpleconnect does not let you login to your account through the Alexa app. Complete BS.

Q:If I have 61 inches between the mounting box and the nearest wall, will that be enough room for this fan? If my understanding is correct, a 54 inch fan will span a little less than 27 inches in either direction it is mounted. That leaves 34 inches to the nearest wall, which should be enough clearance.

A:  Yes, you are correct. You will have plenty of clearance. But if you are planning to connect to your wifi and Alexa, that does not work. Buy another fan.

A:  Hello CuriousHound, The fan will need to be installed 30 inches from the blade tip to the nearest wall or obstruction and 7 feet from the bottom edge of the blade to the floor. You will find the owners manual link below. Thank you! https://tinyurl.com/ybpga3r3

Q:I know if the full span is 54 inches, so it should extend 27 inches from the center in any direction. Does that include the motor width or do I need to add the motor width? Im trying to see how close the fan will be from the nearest wall, but I'm not sure how far to measure from the mounting box.

Q:If this fan is wired to one wall switch, what happens when you turn it off/on at the switch? Does the fan remember the last settings? For example, if the lights is on and you turn the switch off, does the light come back on when you restore power?

                        by|May 6, 2023

A:  Hi CuriousHound, To answer your question if you turn the light switch off and then on it will come back on to the same setting but since the Symphony model is not manufactured with pull chains, we recommend that you use the included remote control to operate the fan speeds and lighting. If you would like to use a wall control we can recommend the 99373 and not use the receiver that comes with it, which you can program to control the fan from the wall. You can find it at the following link https://tinyurl.com/y85hzb5v. Have a great day!

Q:The manual states that this fan must be 30 inches from the nearest wall. In my room it would be a little less than that, is that a danger?

A:  As long as the end of the fan blades aren't right next to the wall, you should be ok. I wouldn't say it's a danger, as the fan stays firmly centered in the bracket, and doesn't sway much even when it's on at full strength. I would contact Hunter & just see why they recommend it being 30 inches away, aside from the blade length.

A:  Hi CuriousHound, If the fan is not installed 30 inches from the nearest wall or object, this could lead to the fan having a wobble when it is running. Have a great day!

A:  Hello, Yes, the switches will be independent from each other. If you are wiring the fan to a dual wall switch, one will turn the fan off and on and the other switch will control power to the light. Thank you for contacting Hunter Fan Company!

A:  This is the answer I got from Hunter support: We sincerely apologize for this issue. Due to the fact that the Symphony 59222 uses an integrated remote system, the wall switches should be left on at all times and the fan/light operated with the remote/app. Using the wall switches can cause faulty operation. So meaning doing dual switches is waste of effort.
