A:  Hey Don, The gimbal palm ratchet does not have a position lock but the way it is gripped prevents the unwanted movement commonly seen in flex head ratchets. Thanks!

A:  No. The gimbal does not have a lock. That being said the gimbal movement is somewhat stiff and not sloppy. I have found it able to hold a position while tightening or loosening fasteners.

Q:What is the function of the recessed star-drive screw on the side of the knob?

                        Answer This Question

A:  The screws are part of the manufacturing process. The gimbal action swivels on these screws. If you look closely there are also a pair of these screws on the chrome ring that do the same for the inside section of the tool.

A:  Jim, The part you are referring to are two torx fasteners that hold the outer ring on to the ratchet.

A:  It's the swivel axis for the gimbal action.

A:  It is just a recessed screw that acts as a pivot point for the ring/handle that allows it to function as a universal joint when working at odd angles.

A:  Hi Jose, we currently only sell Husky Black sockets in a set. Model H100105MTS will have this size for you.

                                  by|Dec 19, 2018

A:  I believe the only black sockets they sell are in the black mechanics sets (H100105MTS) They only sell the chrome sockets individually unless you want to by impact sockets. I have the 100 positions ratchets in all three sizes and purchased the Husky 200 piece socket set (H200MSS) to to go with them. This set has just about every size socket Husky makes.

A:  I am pretty sure they are NOT made in the US. According to Wikipedia they were originally made in the US by Black&Decker; Apex Tools; and Western Forge among others...However they do come with a life time warranty. If you are not hung up on only "made in the usa" you can't go wrong with these tools. I personally tend to go with the made in the us tools but I have purchased many Husky tools with no problems.
