A: • The oil level should be to the middle of the sight glass. • If needed remove the oil fill plug and slowly add oil until it reaches the middle of the sight glass. NOTE: Use 30W compressor oil or a heavy duty SAE 30W, non-detergent, SF grade or better oil. Do not use multi-weight automotive engine oils, as they will reduce compressor life. Under extreme winter condition use SAE-10 weight oil. NOTE: Crankcase oil capacity is approximately 10.6 fluid ounces (313,5 ml). NOTE: When filling the crankcase, the oil flows very slowly into the pump. If the oil is added too quickly, it will overflow and appear to be full. You can also find Oil Maintenance instructions and a diagram on page 19 of the Operator’s Manual.

A: Yes it can. A little access door on the motor is where the wiring is for that. Get a 220 plug and you’re set.
A: Yes, this 30 gal. air compressor can be converted to 240V.
A: No.
A: Yes, it is dual voltage. I converted mine to 240 volts.
A: Please contact our product services group at 888-895-4549 for assistance with the power cord. Be sure to have your model and serial numbers available when you call.
A: Check what pressures on google that are necessary for you HVLP gun, but I believe this compressor is marginal for your needs. Otherwise, it's a great compressor. My motor died after a short time, but they sent a new motor fairly quickly.
A: YES I JUST PAINTED A CJ7 HAD NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. BUT OF COURSE I'D LIKE ONE BIGGER BUT THIS WORKED WITH MY PAINT GUNS AS WELL AS MY HAND AIR SANDER. I WAS PLEASED.
A: A 30 gallon tank would not be enough volume for a DA sander, but for painting it would work great.
A: For this Husky 30 gal. air compressor, we only recommend intermittent use for HVLP painting and sanding applications to allow the compressor to catch up. Also, you will need to consult the air delivery (CFM) requirements for the HVLP painting and sanding tools that you want to use. This specific air compressor delivers 6.2 CFM at 40 PSI and 5.3 CFM at 90 PSI.
A: It is unfortunate that the unit was laid sideways in the truck as oil lubricated air compressors should always remain upright when transported. Here are the steps that can be taken to determine if your unit will operate correctly. • Allow the compressor to sit upright for at least a day. This will allow the oil in the pump to settle in the crankcase. • Remove the belt guard (make sure unit is unplugged) and try to clean as much oil off as possible. Wipe any other areas where oil is visible. Also make sure to wipe any oil that is on the belt. • Check oil level on sight glass of pump. Add 30W compressor oil until the level is at the center of the glass. • Install belt guard. Plug unit in and let it run. The oil that is left on the pump and any other areas will burn off. Unit may smoke for a while so you may want to run it outside. • Also be aware that some oil may sling when the unit is running so you may want to make sure it is not allowed to sling on a vehicle, walls, etc. • It should be fine after all the residual oil is burned off. Just keep a check on the oil level. If you should have any issues after completing these steps, please contact Husky customer service for 1-888-HD-HUSKY for further assistance.
A: As long as the compressor oil has had enough time to fully drain back down into the crankcase you should be fine.
A: Same thing happened with mine as I had to fit it into an SUV. As long as the oil fill window shows at least the minimum amount I think you will be fine. The oil that leaked out probably came out of an overflow for too much oil. I ran my compressor immediately and a week later its still doing great.
A: so far so good,it is very quiet as compressors go. I would buy it again. I don't like oil free type
A: Did the same thing when I picked up mine at store. Just added a bit of oil and did breakin according to the instructions. Works perfectly.
