Q:Do these have to be paired with a Bluetooth device (e.g. a phone) to provide noise cancellation?

                          Answer This Question

A:  These earplug headphones do not have active noise cancellation. The noise attenuation is passive. So if they are not paired with a Bluetooth device they provide noise reduction just like simple earplugs.

A:  The ISOtunes do not have electronic noise canceling. They provide hearing protection from the foam plugs themselves.

A:  I don’t think so, you’d have to turn on the power or wouldn’t work.

A:  Hi Anna, Thank you for reaching out and for your interest in ISOtunes. The headphones must be paired with a bluetooth device to provide noise cancellation. Specifically, the noice cancelling feature works while you are on a call only. The microphone is designed to cancel out only steady state background noise. This includes fans, vacuums, engine hums, and even lawn mowers. Feel free to reach out to us at support@isotunesaudio.com or give us a call at 1-844-396-3737 M-F 9-5 ET and we'll be happy to address this and any other questions/concerns you may have :) Best, Team ISOtunes

A:  Yes, there is a + and a - button that controls volume when pressed momentarily. Tap it to change volume, press and hold to skip forward or back on a songlist.

A:  They automatically set below required decibels to avoid damage to hearing but you could increase it after the notice it gives you making you aware anything above this volume hearing damage can occur.

A:  The Isotunes uses a series of beeps while adjusting the volume to indicate change. It beeps twice together once it meets a limit. Maximum volume depends on how well the earbud tip seals and how deeply it is inserted. Maximum volume on mine was well below the pain threshold but loud enough to enjoy.
