            A:  Thank you for your inquiry. Yes the nail fin is very easy to remove. Just take a box knife and score both sides and it will pull away from the frame.

              Q:The description says they can be installed as replacement windows. Does that mean the nail fin is removed and they are mounted with screws through the side of the frame?
