A:  This comes with 71” track, so you’re good to go. If need be, you can cut the track down without issue, though.

A:  I do not see why not with proper cutting tool.

        by|Dec 23, 2023

A:  Yes, you can cut the track shorter. Shortening the track 1” will result in the doors overlapping an extra inch when doors are closed. Also when the doors are standing open the opening to access the closet will be an inch narrower.

          by|Dec 27, 2021

A:  yes, simply cut them and install as usual. Doors will overlap a bit more is all.

Q:Will these work with regular 1.375 inch doors? Also I know the rating is 50lbs, but can I get away with 57lbs, which is the weight of a solid pine door?

              Answer This Question

A:  Yes, it works with 1-3/8” thick doors. We would not suggest using this with doors over 50 lbs each.

Q:We have regular bi-fold doors on closet. Due to new furniture we need to swap to sliders. Would this work using our current bi-folds, holding them tight at their centers?

                Answer This Question

A:  The bifold door panels would be too small for a bypass application if you don’t shrink down the finished opening width. The bypass finished opening should be two times the door width minus one inch.

                  Answer This Question

A:  This hardware is adjustable to work with 3/4” doors to keep the gaps minimal. Just hang the doors according to the instructions for 3/4” thick doors.

Q:Do these cause the doors to hang free on the bottom, or is there a track for them on the bottom as well?

                    Answer This Question

A:  There is no track on the bottom so they hang free. However, there is the bracket that mounts to the floor in the center of the doorway to separate the doors & to prevent them from swinging in & out.

A:  Unfortunately, this set only works with 3/4 inch or 1-3/8 inch thick doors. You could try our 111722DR for use with 1 inch thick doors.

A:  This does not come with a bottom track. It comes with a bottom guide that just uses guide posts to keep the doors in place.

A:  This is a stand-alone product. I’m unaware of any pair of slab doors that come with bypass hardware. You’d have to order it separately.

A:  Hey Jaimie, I purchased the track and wheels separately in a kit, but I would think if you ordered the doors specifically as bypass doors for the opening you are looking to fill that the track and wheels would have been included. If you just ordered slab doors that were not specified as bypass doors you will probably have to purchase the track and hardware separately, they do sell the kit in different sizes in store. Good luck.
