Q:Will this fit my Drop-In Quartz Composite 34 in. 1-Hole Single Bowl Kitchen Sink in Black? It's described as a "4.5 inch" drain. But I believe that is a typo. Is this not a 3.5 inch standard drain, compatible with all Karran quartz comp. kitchen sinks?

Q:The installation instructions do not mention the use of silicone or plumbers putty. Is it necessary to use with this particular strainer since there is no mention of it.

A: Do not use this basket.

A: Please always use silicone whenever installing any kind of basket strainer. The strainer alone wont provide a water tight seal unless an appropriate amount of silicone is used.
