Q:Could this be used, if not using a garbage disposal. In a kitchen sink installed in a vanity cabinet. Reason being to be able to stop drain and with out using a removable basket strainer stoper. It would look more like a vanity sink drain/stoper.

You definitely will not have silverware slipping into your garbage...
You definitely will not have silverware slipping into your garbage disposal with this. Attractive, easy to seal the sink with it. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because it's kind of a pain to pull it up, but I will adapt.
