A: Cutting but not crimping. Unless it's very small wire and connectors.

A: Hi Tee - I don't see any reason why it wouldn't but it would depend on the gauge and type of wire. This tool is primarily made for cutting electrical copper wire up to 12 gauge stranded or 10 gauge solid. Perhaps in your application of cutting hobby wire a diagonal cutter or even snips may be more beneficial.

Q:I have a pair of strippers but when I put them in my bag they’re always open so they get stuck. Does this one have a mechanism that makes it stay closed?
