The fan and the compressor do not turn off when the unit reaches the set temperature. A:  Do not listen to Venette she is incompetent and keeps giving one word wrong answers and changing this answer. If you only use it in A/C mode then according to LG no it should not need to be drained as the water should evaporate throughs the exhaust.

A:  oh yes it is you will need a drain hose for both drains i have had one for a couple of years and if you do not have a drain hose it will fill with water and it will stop cooling

A:  I would say yes but would recommend at least a double wall duct through wall because it is warm to hot exhaust from the condenser. The drain is a manual operation you drain it into any container you wish.

A:  Not sure about the wall. I guess it could but you’d have to cut a piece of wall out and not really sure why you’d want to do that. Drains on the bottom.
