Q:In response to #1 question -- Yes I've always had the same issue with the machine changing the time for a cycle -- I just thought it was some setting in the machine but it sounds like there has been something wrong with the machine since Jan 21.

Answer This Question

A:  Hello, atk52. When during a wash cycle does the time for the cycle change on the LG 4.5 cu. Ft. Top Load Washer, Model # WT7100W? When you select a cycle on this washer, the default time for the cycle is displayed. This time will change as you select modifiers or options. Once you press the Start/Pause button, the washer will measure the size of your load. The Estimated timer may change once the load size has been measured. If the display shows --, then the time will displayed after the load sensing has detected your load size. The time shown is only an estimate based on normal operating conditions. Several external factors (load size, room temperature, incoming water temperature, etc.) can affect the actual time...^Ivan.

        Answer This Question

A:  Hi there, Let's fix this wardrobe malfunction together. There could be a couple of factors that's causing this issue. If the hose can't remove the water properly, soapy residue may be left on your laundry. Be sure to check the hoses on your unit for clogs or hoses that could be kinked might need to be straightened out. Furthermore, also check to be sure your pump filter is not clogged either as it should be cleaned every 3 months at least. Last thing we want you to be sure you're not using too much detergent, and we'd like to leave with you is a little home remedy tip. Next time you do your laundry add 1 cup of vinegar to the wash. We think you will be surprised at just how helpful a little vinegar could be. Should none of the tips help. We're here to continue support on this issue. We can be reached at our social media platform using the handle @LGUSSupport with the serial/model number and a good contact number. ~Tanisha

          Answer This Question

A:  To clean the dirt and grime that keeps coming into the water in your LG 4.5 cu. ft. Top Load Washer (WT7100CW), follow these steps: •Clean the detergent drawer by soaking it in hot water with dishwasher liquid or vinegar. Wipe down the inside and use a toothbrush for crevices. •Check for black gunk and run a cleaning cycle with a washing machine cleaner or a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda. •Clean the inlet filter by disconnecting the water supply, removing the filters, soaking them in vinegar, and washing them thoroughly. •Inspect and clean the door gasket, removing any foreign objects and rinsing it with water and a brush. Q:I have had two of these washers in the past ten years. The current one is less than 5 years old. I am getting an E6 error code. The last one also did this and it would cost as much as a new one to fix. Is this a common problem with this model?

            Answer This Question

A:  Hi, we understand you're receiving an E6 error and are here to assist! This error can occur when a foreign object, usually a coin, is stuck between the pulsator and the tub. To resolve the issue, first remove every item from the wash tub and inspect the tub closely. Please check for any small, loose items that can be easy to miss, such as zippers, paper clicks, etc. If any items are found, use pliers to remove them. We're here for further support should you need us! Please reach out to our social media team on Facebook or Twitter at the handle @LGUSSupport. It would be our pleasure to further assist! ^Chris

              Answer This Question

A:  How long the run time is for the normal cycle on the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 cu. ft. Top Load Washer, Model # WT7100CW will depend on the size of your load, and on your chosen options. When a cycle is selected on this washer, the default time for the cycle is displayed. This time will change as modifiers or options are selected. If the Display shows --, then the time will be displayed after the load sensing has detected the load size.
