Q:Bought a new one- do not like the 'tamper resistant' 'feature' - feels like you have to really shove hair dryer plug into it. Now, just 3 hours after install, red light blinks, and no go. Could it be these shutters, or what? I checked every wire + gnd!

A:  The light comes on when it’s dark and turns off again when it’s light. Perfect for a bathroom but I would recommend for a bedroom

A:  Not that I know of it is not very bright though.

Q:If those 3 outlets in my bathroom all have their own reset button and they are on the same circuit, do I need to press all 3 of them once it's tripped? Or can I press only 1 to reset it?

              Answer This Question

A:  If they’re wired properly, I would have to believe that the first one in line would trip and that should be the one that needs to be reset. Unless the short occurred at the second or third outlet, then that should be the one that requires resetting.

A:  Hi, Yes you can have several of these outlets on the same circuit, also they can be wired where if one trips the others will still get power.

A:  That depends on how your electrician wires it -- or how it was previously wired (connected). There are several ways it could be done, so you need an electrician who knows what they're doing. Please be wary of random people answering questions like this,

A:  Yes, that is the way a GFCI works.  Install this GFCI outlet between the other outlets and the circuit breaker and they will be protected and you can reset item if they trip with this GFCI.  The other outlets have to be normal outlets, not GFCI.

A:  I'd call it "Warm". I have it in my garage and besides be a GFI, it's also like a night light.

A:  It's a cool light. Really just enough to navigate to the toilet at Nite, not intrusive. I have installed them in each of the potty rooms. They are Wonderful.

A:  The warm/cool light is depends on the bulb you buy.  This is just outlet that you should install in the areas like bathroom or kitchen.
