A:  Probably not. These simply soft close the door when closed to about 3 to 4 inches. This prevents noise unless forced.

A:  To be honest I'm not sure what is required to make a soft close door. It seems like it would be a specific type of hinge. I would say these are strong, but I don't know if it would work for that, you'd have to ask someone else.

A:  They are bumpers for the cabinet doors so they don't slam against the cabinet. Just peel and stick onto the upper corner where the door meets the cabinet.

A:  The meaning of "self closing" is actually a purchase guideline meaning that when the door gets within about 2 to 4 inches you can let go. The difference in the measurement varies because of the actual weight of the door. My cabinet doors are mid-evel so they weigh more than the modern "mulch" doors made today. Don't get confused with the words "self closing" like your front screen door or storm door that has a gas cylinder or spring on it. Your old hinges, like my old ones, you had to follow the door until it was actually closed all the way. These are an "assist to close", obviously, hence the price. "Soft close" is the same only they close very softly with little to zero noise. These SURE beat the old hinges that made a slamming sound & usually bounced back to "not closed".

A:  They are not true self closing. The true self close are a lot more expensive. And are a bit bulkier.

A:  They are not true self closing. Once guided, they do finish the close, but not what you were looking for.

A:  I bought the same ones, but did t realize they weee supposed to self close. Mine definitely don’t self close.

A:  They are hinges that self close and they work great. Bought the wrong ones the first time and had to change them.

A:  This hinge will work with any thickness door! Just screw it to the inside of your door And the door will rest against the face frame
