A:  you could try it depends on where it is broken and where it is, if its for a counter top, the granite and marble guys mix up a color matching epoxy that they use for seeming the pieces together on counter top that would be much better and stronger and would hide it better, i use this mostly for mirrors, but it does dry strong

A:  i would think so , as long as its sitting flat horizontally, even vertically as long as it is supported by something at bottom, i use it for big bath mirrors all the time, but they are resting on the back splash also.

A better choice for this application would be a polyurethane adhesive such as Loctite PL Premium 3X Polyurethane Construction Adhesive which provide a stronger bond, but you would still need to use temporary blocking until the adhesive cures if this is a vertical mount.
