Keep in mind this adhesive will not bond two non-porous substrates together and requires at least one porous bonding surface for the adhesive to properly adhere and cure.

Loctite Power Grab Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive may be used for the project described as long as at least one bonding surface is porous and temporary bracing would be recommended for 24 hours up to 7 days or longer. You might consider wire brad fastening keeping in mind that wood does expand and contract with humidity changes in the home. We also recommend sanding painted surfaces so the adhesive may develop a proper bond. An alternative adhesive may be to use Loctite Power Grab Ultimate - white which is not a water based product.

Typically contact cement products are used for adhering laminated countertops but for a repair situation Loctite Power Grab Heavy Duty Construction Adhesive may be used. Keep in mind this is a latex, water-based product and requires at least one bonding surface to be porous. This adhesive will not cure properly when bonding two non-porous substrates.
