Q:Will this switch work in a 4-way setup?

Answer This Question
A: Hello, thank you for your question. The Diva LED+ dimmer model DVCL-153P will be able to install in a 4-way lighting circuit, with the requirement that the dimmer itself installs to replace one of the existing 3-way switches, not the 4-way switch in the middle. See the bottom of page 7 in the following spec guide for an illustration of this installation:

Q:Lutron,
I have been looking through your compatibility guide and I am coming up short on the bulbs I would like to buy. Some in your guide are even discontinued.
- When was the last time you have updated your chart?
- I am looking to use a bulb that is 1600 lumens, 5000K and roughly 15W. What bulbs are compatible?
- I am currently using the MaxLite brand, will I have issues with the compatibility of the dimmer switch?
Thank You

A: The DVCL-153P is rated for 150W of compatible LED. Lutron recommends viewing the actual wattage of the LED being used, instead of the wattage equivalent. To see which LEDs are compatible with this, or any other Lutron dimmer, please visit www.lutron.com/ledfinder.

A: Yes this dimmer switch will work with your lights--A 75 watt equivalent LED is about 13 watts--so 10 times 13 equal 130 watts 20 watts below capacity

Answer This Question
A: Currently, there is no industry standard or regulation for the manufacturing of LEDs and the performance will vary with different dimming controls. With this information in mind, Lutron performs extensive testing on a variety of LEDs from many different manufacturers and posts our most up to date testing information on our LED compatibility tool. Lutron would suggest visiting www.lutron.com/ledfinder or www.lutron.com/ledtool to find compatible LEDs for a Lutron dimmer.
