A: Its my opinion that this unit does not have the duty cycle to hold up to room heating demands.
A: Way off the intent, and it will run far to much. use lots of energy. i dont understand why you would even consider this use !
A: Yes, it is an inside unit.
A: Hello! Marey GA10NGDP unit is designed for indoor use, but as long as this unit is not exposed to any outside elements you can installed on a small enclosed shed. It does need at least two feet clearance around the unit. ( Left , right and center ). Marey´s working hours is Monday - Friday from 8:30 to 5:30 Eastern Time. Thank you!
A: Yes you may install it there. My traditions also heater was inside of my house. I had the Marey installed outside. Perfect spot to hook it up to the gas lines.
A: yes
A: Hello! No, the unit does not heat the water to the point it would eliminate the bacteria that could be in the tank or the water. You should put a filter at the point of use you are going to be drinking the water from. A: While I cannot answer this definitively, I can say that based on what I know is in the Marey water heater there is no reason that potable cannot pass through it unaffected except by the addition of heat. If you are really concerned, you should pose this question to Marey.
A: This system does not filter your water but if you filter it prior to the system or your water is from a potable source then yes it will deliver potable water.
A: No, the water that goes through this unit can't be used for drinking/potable water.
A: Hello! The GA16NGDP is an indoor unit so such requirements are not applied on this case. However, to provide you more details, please contact Marey customer support. A: Yes I have a until you can have if you pay the shipping and handling
A: mine does too, pitch a fit to the company.
A: This unit detects water flow to initiate its heating cycle. As soon as flow drops below a certain level the unit shut down it’s flame. Two actions can cause this. Either demand for hot water has ceased (washing machine shifts from fill to wash cycle) or the flow has dropped below a preset threshold. Low flow will stop the machine in any case. Remember that no hot water is stored, if is produced by demand.

A: not big enough for the job. had to take mine out and replace w/tank heater. for the same reason!
A: Probably a water flow problem
A: You need a check valve before the pump to ensure the best pressure. You will need to adjust the settings on the unit depending on the temperature of the water going into the unit, if water is cold a higher temp setting and if water temp going in is warm a lower temp setting is needed.
A: I may have adjusted it when I first installed it - but I haven’t adjusted it since. Capt023
A: Hello! The Marey GA10LPDP unit is designed for indoor use. This unit must be installed only inside. Please, for more details, reach us from Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30 EST at Toll-Free Phone Support - USA: +1 (855) 627-3955 or through email: customerservice@marey.com
A: They do have a unit that can be mounted outside and it should have a box protecting it. As far a I know the outdoor unit does not have any internal freeze protection so be certain and ask that question before purchase. The two most important aspects of protecting your tankless water heater is freeze protection and a good water filter on the water line. Without those two elements you are going to have problems. If this unit does not have internal freeze protection look at other units that do. Home Depot has many other units avaiilable to choose from so check them out.
A: Yes, that is how we installed a similar unit.
A: No, this unit can't be mounted outside.
A: Yes, you can install it in a garage, however, you need to make sure the pipes would not freeze.
A: The one I bought said it was indoors. So I'm sure you could...should put it in the garage. I put mine outside on an exterior wall and my daughter made A nice cover for it.
A: yes is made for indoor installation but doesn't make a lot of hot water not big enough for a house
A: You can put this unit anywhere except where the ambient temperatures drop below freezing. If the unit freezes it will break the internal piping and leak water. The unit is not protected in ANYWAY against freezing. This, IMO, is a serious weakness.
A: Hello! The Marey GA16LPDP is designed for indoor use. This unit must be installed only inside. Yes, you can put the unit in the garage as long as they follow the correct installation steps in their manual regarding venting and clearance. You cannot install the water heater close any flammable substances or liquids. A: I use my heater in a food truck with an RV water pump I believe it has about 40 lbs of pressure. There is an adjustment on the front of the heater
A: It should work well with a pressure from 30 to 40 pounds and keep a constant supply of hot water. You will need a check valve before the pump to maintain the correct pressure.
A: Hello! Marey GA10LPDP unit demands a minimum water pressure of 5 PSI. The PSI from this model ranges from 5 PSI-140 PSI. Please, for more details, reach us from Monday to Friday 8:30 to 5:30 EST at Toll-Free Phone Support - USA: +1 (855) 627-3955 or through email: customerservice@marey.com
A: Short answer, from page 7 of the Product Manual: 8 psi. On the detail page for this water heater, in a block labeled "Info & Guides," click "Full Product Manual" to get this information. Home Depot does a great job of providing the information you need (user manuals, installation guides, warranty, etc.) on the products they offer. Always check the "Info & Guides" section, because the manufacturer's specifications obviously trumps consumers' answers. Since most residential water systems deliver a pressure of 50-75 psi, I'm guessing you're wondering if this heater will work with a low-pressure, gravity-feed water system. To calculate the "head pressure" of a gravity feed system, measure the vertical height from where the pipe connects to your storage tank to where the pipe connects to the heater. The horizontal pipe run makes no difference. Multiply the rise in feet by 0.433 to get the psi. To achieve the minimum pressure of 8 psi, your water supply tank outlet has to be 18.5 ft. above the heater inlet connection. Higher is better, of course. Hope this helps.

A: Hello! Marey GA16LPDP unit should operate with no problem as long as the unit has good Inlet pressure. A larger holding tank will not make any difference. For more details please contact Marey´s customer support at Toll-Free Phone Support - USA: +1 (855) 627-3955 and Email Support: customerservice@marey.com
A: Yes, follow the Marey instructions for minimum pressure. A larger holding tank will only be at ambient temperature. The heater will give you up to 140 degrees even with low temperatures going in. Look at the factory supplied tables for the temperatures you can expect.
A: Yes. It works good. I only have 20-25 lbs water pressure and have no problems with it.
A: save your money the tank doesn't make enough hot water for a house had the tank as hot as it would go and only had the water at 90 degrees you have to buy a big tank less unit to run a house i went with a 40 gallon gas tank the new ones are very economical
A: Water flow is what controls the unit. I believe a minimum flow rate is expressed in the manual. I suspect that as long as your tank can produce enough flow, there will be no problems. My well pressure tank is 30 gallons and the Marey does just fine. The second question: a holding tank for well water does not provide heat in my experience. In warmer weather, the well water can be held for a longer period in the tank possibly raising the cold ground water temperature up to ambient. This can increase the efficiency of Marey although not significantly. You cannot preset a desired temperature on the Marey. Exit temperature is controlled by flow rate and flame level. If you max the flame, two things affect the exit temp the residence time under the flame ( flow rate) and input water temperature. If the input water is MUCH colder it will definitely lower the exit temperature. I think Marry publishes a chart showing the effect of ground water temperature on output. Your thought on increasing the ground water temperature is a good one but I seriously doubt holding it in the well tank is going to do it.
