A:  No. Inside diameter is 1 5/16" without considering ball bearings. So 1 1/4" would be the maximum diameter rod, and that might be tight.

A:  I think they would probably work for 1.5" rod. I purchased for a 1" diameter curved moen rod, but ball bearings from end to end are 1.5" and diameter of ring is larger. They roll smoothly so worth a try at least. Attached pic may help
