Answer This Question
A: Not on line but I believe some of the stores in the North East sell it by the foot. If not you could by non-jacketed copper refrigeration tube and sleeve it with flexible electrical conduit to achieve the same thing. I believe most stores offer raw copper tube by the foot. The jacket is meant to offer an additional level of containment and to keep the copper from being exposed to things such as concrete; which will initiate corrosion. By running the copper tube through the plastic conduit you achieve the same result and was the preferred method until the development of this product.

A: Some states require that when copper refrigeration tube is used as fuel line from the oil tank to the appliance that it be jacketed as secondary containment in the event the copper tube becomes compromised. In many states this produce is used for that purpose. To be certain of what is required in your area you would want to consult with a local qualified licensed professional or inspector in your area.

A: Yes, that's what I did

A: That is why i do . I try to never use compression fittings on oil. Just don;'t trust them not to leak and even if they don;t leak they can allow air into the system.

Q:I want to move the original installation of this fuel line slightly. It has plenty of extra in a loop where it connects to the filter/tank. What is the best way to bend this line? Can I do it by hand or should I use some kind of tubing bender? I’m aware that any bends should have a generous radius with no kinks.

A: The coated line was very resistant to kinks for me, but a spring bending sleeve will help reduce the possibility of a kink.

Q:So there is only 3/8 OD available at Home Depot? They don't carry any 1/2 OD (3/8 ID)?

Answer This Question
A: That is correct. It is made up to 1 1/8" OD. However The Home Depot only sells the orange coated oil line in 3/8" OD. You are actually the first person to ever ask me for larger. I confirmed that Mueller makes it and it can be special ordered through a Home Depot store Chris 978 651 3301
