A:  Never had that happen.

A:  Check for moisture at the electrical outlet that's in use.

A:  Your heating element is bad or wiring lose. Remove small rear cover and check connections. If good, it's heating element. Replacement cost less than 20 bucks and takes about 15 minutes or so to change out. I have replaced mine several times over the years. Pretty sure there is video on u-tube on how to replace.

A:  I would suggest you use one of these two options. First, you could replace your GFI switch. I suspect it might need replacing. Another alternative would be to find another outlet, or have a dedicated outlet installed.

A:  Dampness is the reason the GFI is tripping. Try drying out the electrical outlet with a hair dryer plugged into a different outlet.

A:  I am able to walk almost all through my bi level ranch home and only the furthest room from the smoker it would disconnect about 40-50yds estimated, but as soon as I move back I can reconnect quickly as the smoker continues regardless of the Bluetooth connection.. it’s still a nice convienence to see time and temp and thermometer in the meat

A:  Usually about 30 feet. However, I have never been able to get the smoker to connect to my phone. The phone "sees" the smoker but app will not connect. Contacted Masterbuilt by email and have not had any success in correcting this. Tried with tablet as well, same result. My suggestion is get the lower priced smoker without glass and with legs, then buy a thermometer with remote for about $50. Window clouds over quickly from smoke. Legs are important as you don't have to get on your knees to add chips or remove food.

A:  Not very far and mine disconnects a lot. I don't mind - in my case - yours may differ. I am happy with it - does a nice job of controlling the temperature. Full racks of ribs need to be cut in half - again not an issue for me. I am just a back yard cook.

A:  25ft at most...good luck with the app...mine stopped working after 6 months...and the app won’t detect the smoker anymore...and Masterbuilt cs is horrible, you will know more about the product then they will and you just opened the box Smoker is good though...just BT won’t work after awhile

A:  Barely one! The bluetooth on this works very poorly and only for about 10 feet. It only works once. If it goes off (which it does), you need to uninstall and reinstall the app. Take a look at all of the reviews of this app online. In my opinion, don't buy this unit for the bluetooth. You are better off with an external wireless thermometer.

A:  Yes. My bluetooth disconnects every time I get out of range and then I reconnect when I am within range. The smoker keeps working regardless.

A:  I haven't had this happen, but I am certain it will continue to operate manually.

A:  Yes it will continue to operate I almost never use the Bluetooth feature

A:  Yes, this smoker will operate correctly even without Bluetooth connected.

A:  the bluetooth keeps shutting off?? If so, mine has once- I was to far away from the smoker.

A:  I have always had issues with the Bluetooth not reaching as far as I anticipated. If you lose your Bluetooth connection it can shut off. I now use a tablet in the kitchen (near the backyard) to control the smoker and no longer have problems.

A:  It keeps shutting off if I use the Bluetooth the company has replaced the faulty part twice. I give up. Don’t use the Bluetooth! It works great if I just set it up and keep checking on it.
