              Q:Do i need stack kit if washer model# MHW6630HC? i have asked peoples work at homedepot store and they said no need stack kit, please someone confirm with this issue. because they said i can't buy the stack kit separably, stack kit must in same order washer and dryer otherwise homedepot installer won't install them.

              A:  Yes, you have to buy the shelf’s and washer/dryer in the same transaction so when they come to install the new washer/dryer they are able to install the shelf’s under it at the same time. They will not do it if you purchase in separate transactions as they have already told you.

                A:  Both MHW6630HC and MGD6630HW use stacking kit part number W10869845. You only need the stack kit if you are wanting to put the Dryer on top of the Washer.

                  Q:Can this be vented to the right side? Or is that only for the electric version? I'm afraid that the gas line will get in the way if I try to run the exhaust out the right side. I looked up the installation instructions, and they say: "This dryer can be converted to exhaust out the right side, left side (all models except long vent), or through the bottom. If you prefer you may contact your local dealer to have the dryer converted." The problem is that those instructions are not specific to the gas model, and I'm afraid that the gas model I purchased will not vent the right way.
