A: Use a 45 degree cut to bevel
A: I didn't have an outside corner, but if I did I would miter it on a 45 degree angle which will give you a sharp point. If I remember the ends of the black pencil are slightly rounded so if you just trim of the back enough to cut your 45 without removing any of the front it will help to soften the point. I have also seen it done with three pieces at the corner (the two pieces on the wall with a very small piece at the corner which is on a 45 degree angle to soften the edge if you have a larger radius corner. Also if any of it gets nicked or at those 45 degree cuts and you see the terricota, hit it with a black sharpie before you grout. Hope it helps.
A: Well the best choice to make the corner in black would be: Merola Tile Chester Nero 1/2 in. x 12 in. Demi-Bullnose Ceramic Wall Trim Tile But I don’t know how well that thickness would line up with your other pencil trim tile… Personally, what I used on a similar project (white subway tile with black trim) was: Daltile Restore Bright White 1 in. x 6 in. Ceramic Quarter Round Wall Trim Tile (0.03 sq. ft. / Piece) I used pencil trim to the out-facing side of the wall (I was trimming around a window in a shower), then used the white bullnose to actually turn the corner… It turned out nicely and framed the window as I was hoping to do… I hope this helps with your project…
A: I mitered my corners, but that my not work with your curved pencil trim - can you get that in black?
A: Hi! In these cases, we recommend ordering a single piece of this tile to determine if it suits your design preferences! If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.
A: Hi, Jane! The difference between each of these trim pieces is that our Rugoso Nero Brillo Pencil Listelo Trim has more of a curvy, hand-made look and our Nero Ceramic Listelo Liner has a more linear edge. If you refer to each of the product pages you will find images that show the variation in surface types. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652.
A: Hi Katherine, The thickness for our Nero Listelo Liner is 0.36 inches, or 9 mm. This and other relevant information can be found in the “Product Overview” section and in the “Specifications” section! Unfortunately, as we are only the distributor of our own branded products (Merola Tile) we are not able to compare them other manufacturers' or distributors' products. Since the Home Depot has a great return policy, we recommend you order both products to see how they look in person - you can always take them back if they do not coordinate the way you intend them to. If you have any further questions, please give us a call at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
A: This is .38 inches thick.
A: Hi Katherine, Unfortunately, I do not know the thickness of the tile, but I also used it with subway tiles. I have attached photos hopefully this will help and good luck with your project
A: I don't have any left to measure, but it appears to be ~3/8". I have it installed as a pencil line with two kinds of subway tile. It is flush with the thicker tile, which is 3/8, and stands slightly proud of the thinner tile (from Home Depot) which is ~9/32". It looks great with both of them!
A: Good morning, This tile does not have the long sides fully finished. Occasionally, additional glaze may appear on the sides, but it is not guaranteed to be used as a finished trim piece. We recommend our Chester Nero Demi-Bullnose (link below) for an angled, finished look. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Merola-Tile-Chester-Nero-1-2-in-x-12-in-Demi-Bullnose-Ceramic-Wall-Trim-Tile-WNU36CNB/206490328
A: The tile is finished on five sides.
A: Hi Kathryn, This tile has a smooth glossy finish. This and other important information is found in the product overview section. High sheen is another way of referring to glossy, low sheen is another term for matte and satin is another way of referring to a semi-gloss. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
A: glossy
A: glossy finished
A: Good Afternoon, We would not recommend using these liners as a finishing edge for your project. These liners are not intended to have the black glaze extend all the way around the one side. For a black finishing edge that is small in size, we would recommend our Chester Nero Demi-Bullnose http://thd.co/1NPG930. We are expecting a shipment of this product to arrive in our warehouse the week of July 22, 2016. When it arrives in stock, it will be viewable for purchase on Home Depot’s website within 48 hours. We currently have 7 of these (7 linear feet) of these available in stock in our warehouse. If this is enough to complete your project, you can place a special order for these in your local Home Depot store in the flooring department with a flooring associate. You can also place a special order at any time for the full amount that you will need for your project, assuring that it will ship to you within two business days of arriving back in stock. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our customer service team at (800)-963-7652. Hope this helps!
A: yes, its a bullnose, so its finished on one side
