Q:can I use the product for fertilizing my lawn?

    Answer This Question

A:  Joan, while the Miracle Gro Liqua Feed can be used on the lawn, it is not recommended to be used as a lawn food. Lawns should be fertilized with a fertilizer specifically designed for lawns, this is a plant food.

A:  Not designed for lawns but could work.

A:  yes, my plants were fine and I soaked the leaves and all.

          by|May 8, 2020

A:  It’s not recommended, but it didn’t hurt mine.

            by|Aug 5, 2019

A:  Yes it is OK. In fact most Miracle Grow products recommend foliar feeding (spraying on leaves) as plants can absorb the nutrients thru their leaves. Just do not do it when it's really hot outside. Do early morning or late evening applications. Spray around base of plant and then spray entire plant. The only plants you need to watch closely are those that tend to get fungus or mildew like squash plants. But as long as temps are warm and you have good airflow around and between leaves it's not an issue.

                by|Jun 25, 2021

A:  Thank you for your interest in Miracle-Gro LiquaFeed Advanced Starter Kit. This is a straight fertilizer that can be used on any grass type. However, plant foods are not the best choice for a lawn because the NPK ratio is not optimized for lawns. Q:I've noticed a lot of decent (4 stars) and good (5 star) reviews say "This review was collected as part of a promotion", and even a 3 star, but even the 3 and 4 stars lack the details as why they’re not including all 5 stars if this product is working so well with them. Seems to me a lot of reviews were bought off. My question is, how are we to know if this is a product we can trust? So far on other sites, I’m getting that many people, like myself, are having issues with this product. It WON'T dispense! I’ve communicated with Miracle Gro directly and all the troubleshooting advices they gave me had done nothing to help me, and this is my second feeder I use. Not one of them has worked for me at all.

A:  No you can not unscrew the top off and pour it into a watering can. There are lots of issues with this design. I would not recommend this version of Miracle Gro. The blue powder and old style sprayer works much better. With the powder you can add a few scoops to your watering can, add water, stir and pour where you need it.

A:  No. You can not pour from the bottle. The top is blocked. It is meant to be screwed onto the top of the liquid feeder. Liquid feeder has a very poor design and constantly spins the bottle under the handle. Great idea, poor design, I hate it every time I use it. To hard on the wrists and hands fighting with it all the time.

A:  I think you need to buy a different set, this one seems to only be a refill. There was an original starter kit with the spoon and also a little gizmo to add the fertilizer to a container of water, instead of the hose hook up, for indoor feeding.
