Q:need new rubber type o-ring-sprinkler leaks badly and o-ring has flattened out I've no need to toss this well constructed sprinkler head. It has 7 settings and only requires the rubber seal so it will not leak when I set it down for a minute

Multi-spray option water nozzle.
Made of durable materials. Has multiple spray settings for water usage. Great value for the cost.

Cheap, handle broke within 1 month
Worked well at first, easy to adjust settings using dial. In less than 1 month (under 10 uses) the sprayer got stuck on even when the handle was opened. Had to manually turn off the water to get it to stop. Next time we tried to use it no water would come out at all because the handle would completely slide over the metal plunger. Will be returning it.

I like how easy it was to install onto the hose. Make sure that the washer is seated in the sprayer to get a tight fit. There were no leaks from the nozzle while spraying in all modes. The force of the spray also depends on your water pressure. This sprayer held a good force of water while on the jet setting when I was cleaning debris from my yard after the storm.
It feels sturdy, is at a reasonable cost, and has excellent water spray control.

I have always been a fan of the Melnor products specifically for their quality.
This nozzle is no exception. It feels well made and works as it should with no leaks. My only complaint, which cost it a star, is that it is small and feels small in my hands. I just need a larger nozzle to avoid cramps and such when using.
Don't get me wrong, it works great it is just to small for me.
As with other Melnor products I have used, I still recommend this if you have smaller hands and want a well made, quality nozzle which should last a while

I was surprised by the quality of the Melnor rear-trigger 7-pattern nozzle. It has a metal body with quality metal control components that appear to be made of brass. The Handle was well formed and had good hand "feel". The pattern selector has very positive detents and hold the pattern even after dropping the nozzle on the ground. The "hold open" loop was easy to use.

The nozzle has 7 different patterns and each setting has a distinct flow of water. You can choose from a full stream of water to a soft mist. The contoured handle fits nicely in your hand and is lightweight. There is a lock on clip that provides a continuous stream of water. Jet spray has enough pressure to clean away debris. Used the jet spray on my car when washing and no damage to the paint on the car. Works well.

Love this nozzle - why? Finally! A nozzle that fits my small hand. It has a hard plastic handle with finger grips. The handle to press down to regulate water flow has little nubs on it so you down lose your grip. There is a stop control so you can hold constant flow of water. There are 7 different water flow choices - full, cone, center, flat, shower, jet, and mist. It also has a rubber washer at the hose connection point. Overall, I am excited to use this nozzle.

The Melnor 7 pattern hose end sprayer is a quality sprayer. I have owned them in the past and the same quality is maintained, unlike some other "modernized" products. I have large hands, but the grip still accommodates them. The handle and lever are both textured to eliminate slips. The housing is plastic and metal. The selection dial is rubber and provides an excellent grip for selecting one of the 7 sprays: full, cone, center, flat, shower, jet and mist. I actually find all 7 useful in my vegetable gardens and around the yard. There is a very sure click-stop to select spray modes. There is a preinstalled hose washer and a flip-down ring for locking the sprayer open. Good product that will see years of use.

No drips, no leaks, no issues changing from one flow pattern to the next. Doesn't have a way to regulate the flow to somewhere less than 100%. You have to grip it and squeeze the handle constantly. There is a loop to lock it 100% open but there is no way to reduce the pressure down without manual gripping. Hands get sore. Husband prefers wand style that is less reactive to water pressure with flow regulator. On the plus side, no drips at hose connection or when cycling thru the 7 spray patterns. This is a back up nozzle for when the preferred ones give out due to hard water and AZ heat.

The overall quality of the Melnor 7 pattern nozzle is very good. Some of the patterns don’t seem necessary. I have provided pictures of patterns that I feel would be beneficial to the user. Each of these patterns performed well to their title. The nozzle is lightweight and easy to operate. My only concern is the plastic handle for durability. This nozzle needs to be laid down vs. the customary drop while washing one’s car. Using correctly the durability of the nozzle shouldn’t come into question.
